What’s wrong with cold roofs?

Cold-roof construction has insulation under the deck, leaving the deck cold. Warm moist internal air condenses on the cold deck, causing damp, mould, and structural rot.

How is warm-roof retrofit done?

Strip existing membrane and insulation. Lay vapour control layer over deck. Install 100-150mm PIR insulation above deck. New membrane (typically EPDM) on top. New edge trim and outlets.

How long does it take?

2-4 days for typical 20m² extension. £2,400-£4,500 fully fitted including 10-year installation guarantee.
